Course Description:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings

- Describe the technique for relieving an infant’s foreign body foreign body obstruction
- Recognize the signs of someone in need of CPR
- Perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an adult
- Perform high-quality CPR for the child
- Perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the infant
- Provide effective ventilation using a barrier device
- Perform as an effective team member during multi-rescue CPR
