Course Description:

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner. 
Upon successful completion of the course, including a first aid skills demonstration, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, valid for two years.

Target audience :

  • Heartsaver is designed for people who want to learn how to help someone having a cardiac or choking emergency. Learn to recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on its way quickly and provide help until someone with more advanced training arrives to take over. You’ll get hands-on practice in performing high-quality CPR for adults, using an AED, relieving choking and doing rescue breathing. This course is ideal for workplace or volunteer requirements.

Part 1: Online: a self-paced, cognitive learning and assessment program with easy access to a rich array of resources, activities, learning videos, knowledge checks and an electronic exam. Once you have completed the first part of the program you will move on to the in-person portion. 

Part 2: In-class: an instructor-led, classroom-based session where you will benefit from ample opportunity for hands-on skills practice, expert coaching, debriefing, team scenarios and comprehensive skills testing.
